The 10 Commandments of Punditry (FP Passport)
1. Thou shalt be the Expert, on Everything.
2. Thou shalt not waste “time in the field.”
3. Thou shalt be Non-Partisanly Partisan.
4. Thou shalt be neutral, but not always.
5. Thou shalt not commit the sin of Footnotes.
6. Thou shalt not misuse the title of “former.”
7. Thou shalt remember the past day, by keeping it forgotten.
8. Thou shalt be who you need to be.
9. Thou shalt not commit the sin of Common Sense.
10. Honor thy Funder.
Note: # 2 is a MUST for China pundits. And yes, I’m expecting the obligatory Obama response (hint: contains the words “love” and “back”)
